Benjamin DAUCHEZ
As a notary since 2001, Benjamin Dauchez boasts more than fifteen years' experience in law of artistic creation, serving artists or their assigns, collectors, museums, foundations and non-profit organisations, galleries and auction houses, etc.His work leads him to address estate planning issues (ownership and transfer of collections and copyrights, patronage, creation of foundations, non-profit organisations and endowment funds) and tax matters (tax on inheritance and gifts, tax on the sale of artwork, and more generally taxation in the art market) relating to artistic works and their exploitation (copyright, literary and artistic property).
His services including both drafting documents and providing advice.
Education
- Winner of the Concours général de droit privé, 1991
- Berkeley University, Boalt Hall School of Law, 1992
- Graduated as a notary in 1997 (dissertation under the supervision of Professor Michel Grimaldi, on the topic "Artwork and inheritance law"
